Which Wood Flavor to Use for Your Cookout

When considering which wood type to use for your next cookout, it is important to become well-informed as to which wood type goes best with which meat. Unless you’re a professional chef, you’re more than likely going to have to do some research in order to find out what type of wood goes best when smoking/grilling fish. Not to worry, we have all the answers you’ll need to make sure your prepared meats will have their optimal flavor by using the correct wood type while cooking.

Backyard Middle East has many types of wood used for smoking/grilling, and most incredibly many of these wood types are not immediately available in our region. Our list of wood types goes as follows:

  • Hickory
  • Maple
  • Mesquite
  • Oak

Each of these wood types has different characteristics when used for smoking/grilling.
